If you want to build a business that lasts, you need a community of support.
If you want a community of support, you need strong relationships.
And how do you forge strong relationships?
Strong communication.
That’s the essence of my personal marketing philosophy, Power Acronym 46: C.C.C.
Strong Communication + Strong Community = Strong Company*
(Whether that’s your business or the company you keep!)
But today’s Power Acronym isn’t C.C.C. - it’s one that builds on it.
Power Acronym 199: V.C.P.
I recently learned V.C.P. from Linda Martin, our Launch Coach for BNI Kilgore.
At the time of this writing, I and 13 others are actively launching a business referral networking group in Kilgore. Though we’re about 10 people away from officially launching, that hasn’t stopped us from already exchanging business!
In one of our first in-person meetings, Linda introduced V.C.P., explaining the natural progression of what individuals gain by joining:
Visibility → Credibility → Profitability
Does that sound like something your business could benefit from?

Breaking Down V.C.P.
Visibility
“If they don't know you, they won't flow you". - Grant Cardone
If someone doesn’t know who you are or what you do, they won’t do business with you.
I’ve had friends for years who didn’t realize what I do for a living—and that’s on me, not them.
How are you creating visibility for yourself in your life and business?
We are constantly bombarded with marketing—on YouTube, Amazon, social media, even through paid services. Every brand, business, and person fights for attention.
The more consistently you show up, the more likely people will remember you and choose you when the time comes.
Credibility
"Trust is built in drops and lost in buckets." - Kevin A. Plank
But being seen isn’t enough—you have to be trusted.
I’ve worked in car sales, logistics, and roofing, and I’ve seen firsthand how some people fake credibility just enough to get attention—but then fail to deliver.
Credibility is simple: Do what you say you will do.
Trust compounds—honoring even the smallest commitments builds long-term reliability. But breaking trust isn’t neutral—it requires repair before you can build again.
One reason I’m proud to work with Project One Roofing is that trust is central to our mission: "Building trust in roofing, One Project at a time."
Profitability
"Every dollar I spend enriches the economy, blesses everyone it touches, and returns to me multiplied." – Alan Cohen
We all have limited time, energy, and resources—so it’s critical to invest in things that yield the highest return.
The risk? You give everything and get nothing.
But the upside? Your efforts multiply—sometimes 2X, 4X, or even 10X.
Profitability isn’t just money—it includes:
Knowledge
Experience
Relationships
Opportunities
Each of us must define our own balance between Visibility, Credibility, and Profitability based on our goals.
The biggest risk isn’t losing—it’s taking no action at all.

Closing Quote
"First, decide exactly what it is you want. Most people never do that. Second, determine the price you're going to have to pay to get it, and then resolve to pay that price." - H.L. Hunt
