I can think of no better way to spend Memorial Day than the Murph.
While I'm not in the physical shape to do the 1 mile run, 100 pull ups, 200 pushups and 300 air squats followed by another 1 mile run (all in a weighted vest) in under an hour, the challenge of the work out and the meaning behind are a special way to honor the military service members who have lost their life for their country.
Tears were shed as we heard the story of Lt. Michael P Murphy before honoring the flag as taps were played at CrossFit 259 today. His is one of many stories of heroism America has been built upon. Then we got to work. 🇺🇲

Memorial Day weekend is ear marked on the calendar for BBQ, boating, and gatherings of family and friends.
But it's important we understand how leisurely holidays and freedom to enjoy ourselves and our loved ones are possible.
