Dancing to some of the top electronic DJ’s at a stellar outdoor venue within walking distance of my wife and I's hotel was a super fun experience.
Happy times.
That's a recent memory for me, but there are many memories I have of great days.
I'm sure you have some of your own.
Reflect on some good days throughout your life.
What did it feel like?
What were you doing?
Who were you with?
Why is it important to you?
How did that experience come about?
But let's be real, life doesn't always go our way.
Sometimes it's stressful, unclear and hard.
The last thing I want to do is get out of bed.
I want to be left alone.
It doesn't matter anyway.
I feel totally out of control.
Today's Power Acronym is from a founder of the positive psychology, Dr Martin Seligman, one of the most cited psychologists in his field of study.

He shares PERMA in his books Authentic Happiness and Flourish, where he expounds on his research on these 5 facets of a “good life”.
“Flourishing is the product of the pursuit and engagement of an authentic life that brings inner joy and happiness through meeting goals, being connected with life passions, and relishing in accomplishments through the peaks and valleys of life.” - Dr. Lynn Soots
I make a point to take inventory of the good days when things are well.
I also work not to catastrophize when things aren't completely lining up.
The more I focus on creating positive emotions and movement toward my goals with people I love to be with, the more likely a happy life is to be found.
And that's not because the path is void of challenge, setback and uncertainty - that's always present.
But P.E.R.M.A. is too.
