My first real job was waiting tables at a Mexican restaurant in the small town I grew up in. When I graduated high school, I served tables around Tyler TX for years before getting into sales. One thing I enjoyed about serving tables was that I always had a pen and paper in my hand.
When it was slow or I was struck with inspiration, I’d write.
Thoughts, poems, lyrics…I’d collect pages of my order pad in my book for editing later.
I tell you this just to share that I've been writing poetry for 15 years. You can buy a book of my work here.

I wanted to write about time and decided to write an acrostic poem out of the word Timetable.
I set out to express the idea of legacy and the hope I have to make a positive impact on the world after I am gone.
It’s sort of like the thought exercise where you imagine your own funeral.
