“I want to do something I'm passionate about”.
I've heard this many times and have said it myself.
Over time I've come to realize that passion isn't something to seek out there, as if it's hiding at the end of some rainbow.
It's the internal fire that fuels you long term.
I think when people say they want to do something they feel passionate about, they are really looking to be fulfilled.

Power Acronym 179: M=A+C+C
Meaning = Autonomy + Complexity + Connection
"Those three things-autonomy, complexity, and a connection between effort and reward- are, most people agree, the three qualities that work has to have if it is to be satisfying. It is not how much money we make that ultimately makes us happy between nine and five. It's whether our work fulfills us. If I offered you a choice between being an architect for $75,000 a year and working in a tollbooth every day for the rest of your life for $100,000 a year, which would you take? I'm guessing the former, because there is complexity, autonomy, and a relationship between effort and reward in doing creative work, and that's worth more to most of us than money. - Malcolm Gladwell, Outliers
The quote above is an excellent example at the heart behind the idea.
Where do you find yourself?
Do you have a degree of autonomy in your role?
Are your skills meeting the challenge? Are you learning or growing?
Have you joined a group of people who are as driven as you? How much time with people do you spend in real, not distracted life?
Because when you find meaning, everything else falls into place.
"Nothing in life has any meaning except the meaning you give it.” - Tony Robbins
