Chelsey and I were driving home from a walk at the park the other day.
It was golden hour, and it was beautiful outside.
A Nissan 370Z pulled up to our right, and hit the accelerator.
We drove a bit. 😎
After I changed lanes, the car was ahead of me to my left.
The window rolled down, and a guy with a camera started taking pictures.
Power Acronym 155: Y.V.Y.T.
Your Vibe = Your Tribe
So now I have neptune.photography to thank for the first pro photograph of the Supra.
I share this story because I feel it provides a great visual example of today's Power Acronym: Y.V.Y.T
Have you ever heard “Your vibe attracts your tribe”?
What you stand for, how you are to other people, your being-ness - is what you attract, gravitate to, and ultimately become.
Said another way:
You are who you hang around.
Car culture is a perfect example of this.
The Jeep community are generally laid back, live an active lifestyle, and showcase their creativity with customizations and colors.
Older generations restore classics to a point it makes you wonder why they'd ever stop making them that way.
I've been to many “Cars and Coffee” events just to network and enjoy the design and spectacle of luxury and performance vehicles.
I love the car, sure, but I really love sharing that love with other people.
The story behind the photo is the real thing.
The hearts and souls behind the wheel.
What vibes are you bringing to your energy, work, and love?
Who is your tribe?
Are you connecting with them?
Are you reaching beyond it, to learn, teach, and grow?
If you're not where you want to be in a certain area of your life, what actions should you take to generate the “vibes” that would bring you toward your vision?
Create, curate and cultivate.
In closing, a quote from Seth Godin, author of the book Tribes
“People like us do things like this.” - Seth Godin
Keep the vibes immaculate
