Inspired by a few friends who have been sharing their book recommendations and personal goals for 2025, I thought I'd share a few practices I'm focused on hitting for the next 90 days and beyond.
Question:
What is ONE, high leverage thing you could accomplish or habit you could implement that would make the most positive impact for yourself over the next 101+ days?
My answer:
Zenergy
Less than 15 minutes of social media consumption a day.
10+ minutes of meditation a day.
"Zenergy" is the word I made up to remind myself of my two part #1 Heroically SMART Target I'll share with you.
Quick reminder - the Power Acronym SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound.
In addition to this post being inspired by seeing friends committed to thriving in 2025, it is also part of the 101 Day Heroic Elite program I'm participating in.
Here's what I started implementing in January:
Limit Inputs
I believe these are the highest leverage actions that will simultaneously bring positive results in every domain of my life in 2025.
To do this, I've gone further than putting myself on social media timers via the Digital Wellbeing settings on my phone.
I recently discovered ScreenZen, which expands the way you can block and limit app usage.
Mine is set to limit time across Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok to a maximum of 15 minutes per day.
ScreenZen also provides a pop up to pattern interrupt and consider rethinking spending time on the app.
I'm also limiting the amount of time I'm spending listening or watching news and entertainment.
Reducing the amount of voices I let in has allowed me to experience a greater sense of confidence in myself, and clarity in thought.
Meditation
Meditation is a practice I first learned to implement in 2023 and enjoyed it but let other habits take my attention.
Now I either start my day, end my day, or make the time in the middle of the day to meditate.
In the morning, it helps enter the day with a sense of calm confidence.
In the afternoon, it is an opportunity to reset.
In the evening, it helps me decompress.
Each of these practices has been rewarding, and together they have helped me put all my energy on the most important thing for my day, whatever it may be.
So…that's my answer!

I'm technically doing two combined into one, but that's the fun part.
It's amazing how much we can do when we commit.

10. Love: Focus on meaningful, phone-free connections with loved ones.

Implementing just ONE as a daily non negotiable can be transformational. so I encourage you to experiment with them if you feel inspired to do so.
