Communication + Community = Company
That's what the Strong Com Podcast is about.
The idea I had years ago has only grown more clear to me as time has passed.
When we communicate with strength, when we build strong communities, we lift up our company - the businesses we build and the company we keep.
The more experience I gain in my professional career, the more I realize how important it is to communicate and focus on what it means to grow a relationship.
In freight brokering, strong communication is speedy, efficient, consistent, transparent, friendly, and actionable.
It's also empathetic, enthusiastic, encouraging, and empowering…especially with team members.
A recent episode of the What if it Did Work podcast posed this question:
What if you sold your team the way you sold your customers?
An interesting question to consider. So is the reversal:
What if you sold your customers the way you sold your team?
How is it the same?
How is it different?
Do you communicate with the same passion and conviction?
Does your team carry the values from your wall onto the phone? Into the community?
What would happen if they did?
Would your customers buy from you based on your leadership?
What if they already are?
Ok, that's enough questions.
That's what I'm asking myself as I think about my work goals for 2023.
Finding the connection between Verbs, Values and Volition.
Pushing toward Victory.
